Our Charity Work

At New Invention Learning Academy, we emphasise the importance of preparing for the future by fostering good citizenship and mutual support among our children. We celebrate both our differences and similarities, teaching students the value of unity and collaboration. Our school community—including children, their families, staff, and local residents—consistently demonstrates remarkable generosity through various charitable initiatives.

Each year, we collect food and essential toiletries for the Black Country Food Bank to support local families in need. You can find more details about these efforts in the Religious Education: Celebrations section of our website.

Cancer support is a cause exceptionally close to our hearts, touching the lives of many within our student and staff body. Through energetic events like the Race for Life and our annual danceathons, we have raised over £12,500 for Cancer Research and Macmillan—and not even the typical British rain can dampen our spirits!

Throughout the academic year, our school community proudly supports national initiatives including The Poppy Appeal, Children in Need, Comic Relief, and the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Our students’ unwavering dedication to helping others never fails to inspire us.

Our reach extends beyond national campaigns to direct action within our local and global communities. In recent years, our students have collected donations for those displaced by the conflict in Ukraine, sent cards and letters to local care home residents during lockdown to boost morale, and gifted Easter eggs to say a heartfelt thank you to our NHS workers.

Together, these initiatives reflect our commitment to nurturing empathy, active citizenship, and kindness in every student.
