Our Charity Work
At New Invention Learning Academy, we emphasise the importance of preparing for the future by fostering good citizenship and mutual support among our children. We celebrate both our differences and similarities, teaching students the value of unity and collaboration. Our school community—including children, their families, staff, and local residents—consistently demonstrates remarkable generosity through various charitable initiatives.
This term, we organised a donation drive to support individuals displaced by the conflict in Ukraine. Annually, we collect food and toiletries for the Black Country Food Bank, contributing to the well-being of those in need. More details about these efforts can be found in the Religious Education: Celebrations section of our website.
We also support Cancer Research and Macmillan, causes that resonate deeply with many of our students and staff who have been affected by cancer. Through events like Race for Life and danceathons, we have raised over £12,500 for these organisations. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits during these events!
Throughout the year, we participate in various charitable activities, including The Poppy Appeal, Children in Need, Comic Relief, and the Anti-Bullying Alliance. We are continually inspired by our students' dedication to raising funds and donations to assist others.
Our commitment extends to the local community as well. During lockdowns, students wrote letters and sent cards to residents in local care homes to lift their spirits. We also donated a large Easter egg to express our gratitude to the NHS.
These initiatives reflect our school's dedication to nurturing empathy, generosity, and community engagement amongst our students.
